Admission to M Phil Programme

Admission to M.Phil Programme:
Applications are invited for admission to Full-time Regular MPhil Research Programme in the disciplines of Arts , Sciences , Humanities , Management , Law , Medical , Engineering , Lingustics ,Commerce ,Computers , IT ,Finance and other areas relevant to master Degree from UGC recognised University

Admission Regular Mode Only at Meghalaya as per UGC norms & Regulation 2009.

Objective: The One Year full time and regular M.Phil Degree has been designed for enabling the Master’s Degree holders to acquire expert knowledge of research methodology and other advanced topics for being prepared to get registered in the Ph.D. Degree in the relevant Faculties.

Course Duration : One Year
Eligibility: Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with 55% marks (CGPA 5.5-6 in scale of 10).
Selection: National Entrance Test (NET)will be conducted in the last week of January and December for selecting candidates for admission to the M.Phil Degree.

 

Distribution of Papers: There are three papers in M.Phil Degree besides an M.Phil Thesis to be submitted. Examinees will appear in all the three theoretical papers at the end of the academic session.

M.Phil Thesis: Examinees will submit the M.Phil Thesis before appearing in the university examination conducted in the university campus in Meghalaya.

1.      Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in Science/ Humanities/ Management or equivalent in relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate for general category.

2.      The candidate having a valid Gate score / NET qualified or M.Phil Holders are exempted from Entrance Test for Ph D Admission.

Award: Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) Degree with specialization in the relevant subject shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by the MGU.

Fee (Rs): The selected candidates will be required to pay the tuition and other fee as mentioned below

 

Rupees Entrance ,Admission and Registration Fee : 20,000.00 Tuition, Guidance and Monitoring Fee (Course Fee): 30,000.00 Psychometric Analysis, Examination and Evaluation Fee Extra : Total : 50,000.00
