The AIIMS MBBS entrance examination 2017 was conducted on May 28 and on Wednesday, Whistleblower Anand Rai, who had earlier exposed the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh, alleged that the question papers of this year’s entrance exam for MBBS course of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) were leaked.
Expressing concern over the allegations, AIIMS said that a probe has been ordered and the reality will be out soon. They informed the crime branch of the Delhi police about the issue.
AIIMS conducted the MBBS entrance examination for admission into the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course for the academic session 2017. This year, the computer based test will was held in two shifts — from 9 am to 12:30 pm and from 3 pm to 6:30 pm.
Rai, in a series of tweets, posted images of the question papers of the entrance examinations held across the country on May 28. He said that he had received the question paper snapshots from a source who claimed these were leaked from M C Saxena College in Lucknow when the online test was on.
He also tagged the Prime Minister’s Office in his tweet and sought a CBI enquiry into the issue.
The AIIMS online entrance test was held in two shifts, he told PTI, adding that the snapshots clearly prove that the question papers were leaked while the examination was going on.
