Giving the students and parents more time to complete the process of registration and other important requirements, the Delhi University (DU) is most likely to begin the Admission process to its various Undergraduate (UG) courses from 15th May.
According to the University sources, in a recently held meeting of Admission committee(AC), DU has decided to start the process of online registration to its undergraduate courses by mid May , before the announcement of XII CBSE results which is expected to be out on 24th May. Currently, the varsity is working to give a final touch to its admission portal, server and software to avoid technical disturbances during the process of registration . The Admission process which is likely to begin from 15th May will continue till 20th June and the entire admission process will go up-to 21st July.
The DU Admission Committee which is headed by Maharaj.K.Pandit, Dean of sciences is continuously holding non-stop meetings to finalize the draft policy for the admissions. However, the Post Graduate(PG) admission date is not yet decided due to a continuous protest from the ABVP against the varsity’s decision for conducting computer based online entrance exam for PG and professional U.G courses.
“The AC will transfer the final draft of PG admission to the the Standing Committee which will decide on the matter to conduct the online test or not. However, the university will also release the date of PG registration soon” said An Admission Committee member.
